Millie Bobby Brown has insisted that she ‘felt safe’ working with David Harbour on set of Stranger Things despite her alleged bullying report.
Daily Mail exclusively reported last month that Brown, 21, had filed ‘pages and pages’ worth of bullying and harassment claims against Harbour, 50, ahead of shooting the show’s fifth and final season in 2024.
Now, the actress spoke about their ‘close bond’ and ‘great relationship’ during a new interview with Deadline.
‘Of course I felt safe [with Harbour],’ she told the publication. ‘We’ve worked together for 10 years.
‘I feel safe with everyone on that set. You naturally just… you’ve been doing it for so long.
‘We also play father and daughter so naturally you have a closer bond than the rest, we have had some intense scenes together.’
The star added, ‘David and I have a great relationship, we work really closely together in the scenes and in preparing for the scenes.’
Brown plays Eleven, a girl with super powers escaped from a local lab, in the Netflix show, while Harbour portrays Hopper, the former police chief who ultimately ends up taking Eleven in.

She said she was ‘really excited’ for everyone to see the hard work they had put into filming the ‘closure of their relationship,’ and promised that it would give the fans of the pairing what they wanted.
‘It makes me want to bring my A-game every time I see I’m on the call sheet working with him because I know he’s bringing it right back,’ she gushed.
Sources previously told the Daily Mail that Brown’s complaints against Harbour did not include any allegations of sexual impropriety.
It was said that Harbour faced an internal inquiry as a result of Brown’s complaints against him but the outcome of the investigation is unknown.
A source said: ‘Millie Bobby Brown filed a harassment and bullying claim before they started shooting the last season. There were pages and pages of accusations. The investigation went on for months.’
Netflix declined to comment on the revelation, as did representatives for Brown, while representatives for Harbour and Stranger Things creators the Duffer Brothers didn’t respond.
In response to the streamer’s silence, the source said: ‘Netflix will never comment on an internal investigation, but the fact they’ve not denied it speaks volumes.
‘Stranger Things helped put Netflix on the map. Millions of fans around the world have been anticipating the finale,’ they added. ‘No one wants anything to take attention away from that.’

Despite the reports, the two actors had a very public reunion at the season five premiere in Hollywood days later, sharing in a warm embrace and giggling together as they posed for photos.
Body language expert Judi James told Daily Mail exclusively the pair’s cheerful display seemed forced, calling their exaggerated gestures ‘overkill.’
‘We’re so lucky to have each other,’ she told Extra on the carpet of Harbour. ‘The show means so much to the both of us and to everyone here.’
Brown’s alleged bullying complaints against Harbour came days after his ex-wife Lily Allen seemingly accused him of cheating in her new album, West End Girl.
