Gogglebox favourite Amy Tapper has undergone an impressive weight loss journey over the years
Gogglebox star Amy Tapper has wowed fans after uploading a video of her epic weight loss transformation.
Amy joined the long-running Channel 4 show for its first-ever series back in 2013, with the rest of her family: dad Jonathan, mum Nikki and older brother Josh.
And it didn’t take long for the Tapper family to become firm favourites with fans thanks to their hilarious quips, never failing to make the viewers laugh.
Sadly though the family called it quits from the show shortly after son Josh left Gogglebox in 2017 to work in government and daughter Amy quit to appear on Celebs Go Dating in 2018.
Since her Gogglebox exit, Amy has undergone a major weight loss transformation and has been keeping fans updated on her journey. The TV star has managed to lose a major eight stone, dropping from a size 26 to 18.
And recently, Amy uploaded a video to Instagram that documented her impressive weight loss. In the video, Amy could be seen rocking a blue gym bra and bottoms, before it transitioned to clips of Amy working up a sweat in the gym.
She captioned the post: “l’ve heard “eat less, move more” my whole life — usually as a dig. So I’m reclaiming it. Teamed up with@chemist4u and @di_fattony_to flip that phrase into something empowering.
“This campaign calls out bullying, shuts down unsolicited advice, and stands with anyone on a medicated weight-loss journey. My journey is personal. Emotional. Mine. This track is an anti-bullying anthem supporting the National Bullying Helpline. Here’s my clap back.”
As expected, Amy’s fans went wild over the video and rushed to the comments section to dish out the compliments. One person said: “You look fantastic you’ve done amazing you should be proud of yourself.”
Another added: “This is epic Amy! Such an amazing and inspirational journey!!!” A third agreed: “You look incredible. Hard work and you are killing it! X.” Someone else penned: “Keep going chick.”
Meanwhile last month, Amy opened up about her plans to have surgery to remove loose skin, following her weight loss. She told the Mail: “Unfortunately and inevitably, when you’ve lost as much weight as eight stone, and there’s gonna be more, there’s a lot of skin that is just not gonna disappear with exercise.
“It’s not possible, you know? It’s stones and stones of fat and it’s now just skin. My arms and my tummy are definitely gonna need surgery at some point, but my legs are actually OK.”
