S Club 7 star Rachel Stevens’ ex-husband Alex Bourne, 47, has welcomed his first child with new wife Lily. It comes just weeks after the singer, 47, confessed emotionally that she is still ‘grieving’ the breakdown of her marriage.
Property mogul Alex made the announcement on Sunday that his other half, art dealer Lilly, 31, had welcomed a son on an Instagram post on Sunday, sharing an adorable snap of their newborn in a white babygrow.
In the caption of the joint post, the overjoyed new parents wrote: ‘One whole week of loving you, our sweet boy. You have completely changed our lives and we love you more than life itself. I can’t believe you’re ours. 21.11.25 xo.’

And friends and family quickly flooded the comments section, with one writing: ‘Wonderful news and huge congratulations to you all’, while another added: ‘Welcome to the world, Sonny!’
The couple wed in February after they began dating last year. Alex’s son now joins the two children he shares with childhood sweetheart Rachel – daughters Amelie, 15, and Minnie, eleven.
Just last month, Rachel admitted that she was still processing her divorce, and confessed that she’d never really fully ‘mourned’ the end of her marriage as she had bottled up all her emotions.
She revealed: ‘Some days you feel empowered… and then other days you feel like you just wanna cry under the duvet and hide…
‘I went from being married and then went into another long relationship, and I don’t know if I actually fully grieved the loss of my marriage.’
She added that the process of ending her marriage and learning to co-parent was a ‘terrifying’ one – but both have always said they remain fully committed to harmoniously co-parenting their daughters together as a blended family.
Rachel had moved on from Alex with her Dancing On Ice professional partner, American Brendyn Hatfield – but they split in September, after nearly two years together.
Previously wearing her heart on her sleeve about her painful break-up from her husband, Rachel had said, ‘[The split] was messy. I knew that we were growing, that I was growing apart, but I was in turmoil, because first of all my kids.’
Alex first met new wife Lily early in 2024, and the pair got engaged last summer, amid a romantic walk on Hampstead Health in London.
They then tied the knot in a rustic ceremony at Lime Kiln Lodges in East Sussex, with Amelie and Minnie as bridesmaids – but their mum Rachel was not seen in attendance.
Alex and Lily, who he says his girls ‘adore’, revealed their nappy news earlier this year, Lily sharing a snap to Instagram where she was cradling her bump with the simple words,. ‘A new chapter.’
As for Rachel, who is currently single, she recently told BBC Radio 4’s Woman’s Hour that despite all the previous heartache she’s endured in relationships, she has not given up on lasting love, calling herself a ‘hopeless romantic’ and saying she still dreamed of ‘movie love’.
