Inside Freddy Brazier’s rollercoaster relationship with pregnant ex-girlfriend

Freddy Brazier’s ex, Holly Swinburn, has given an interview where she makes shocking claims and details what was the final straw in the relationship

Freddy Brazier has had a complicated relationship with his ex-girlfriend who claimed the TV personality broke her trust while she was away on a family holiday and pregnant with his child.

Ex Holly Swinburn, 22, claimed she was receiving verbal abuse from Freddy, 21, an a new interview. The mum-to-be, who found out she was pregnant in August, alleged that Freddy called her “fat” and a “s***” as well as “all the names under the sun” after the pair started dating in June. She told The Sun, “I stayed with Freddy for the sake of the baby, but it got too much.”

Their relationship appeared to start smoothly after he reached out to her on TikTok at the start of summer. Their romance moved fast, with Freddy moving into Holly’s east London home and the couple even adopting a Pocket Bully dog named Pablo. By August, Holly discovered she was pregnant.

However, the cracks began to show when Holly went on a pre-planned family holiday. She entrusted Freddy with her home and her dog, only to allegedly be met with a shocking betrayal of that trust.

She claimed their dog was left alone for extended amounts of time and that he had guests over without her permissions and had complaints about the noice from their neighbours

She said, “He [Freddy] messaged me at 3am with a picture of five people, including two girls. He told me he had been in my flat smoking weed with them…I made the decision to end it for good. Enough is enough – I don’t know if he can change.”

While Holly said Freddy showed “signs of caring” throughout her pregnancy, including “attending baby scans”, she struggled to move past the alleged lies.

The drama was further complicated by Freddy’s relationship with his maternal grandmother, Jackiey Budden, who Holly alleges was abusive towards her and pushed for an expensive paternity test, straining the fragile trust within the family. Freddy is the son of Jade Goody who died aged 27 from cancer.

Freddy, who was just four when his mother died, has been candid about his battles with addiction, manic episodes, and bipolar disorder in the past. He has spoken openly about turning to drugs at age 12, being sectioned in a psychiatric ward, and confessing that he “tried to end it all” in 2023 after crashing a car during a manic episode.

Following the split from Holly, Freddy took to social media to tell followers he was a “broken man”. Freddy’s father, Jeff Brazier, became a single father at 23-years-old after raising Freddy and his older brother, Bobby, alone following Jade’s death.

The baby news was said to initially help mend a recent rift between Freddy and his dad, Jeff, who had been estranged for much of the past year. Jeff immediately stepped up, with brother Bobby Brazier vowing that raising the baby would be a “team effort.”

The rift between Jeff and Freddy seemed to be caused by Jeff’s legal action to stop Freddy from seeing his grandmother, Jackiey Budden, due to concerns for Freddy’s welfare. This dispute led to a period of strain, with Freddy moving out to live with his grandmother.

Unpacking how grief is at the heart of the family feud, chartered counselling psychologist Dr Jane Halsall told the Mirror: “Grief is very individual and I think that is really clear in the family system with the Braziers. Each person has tried to find their own identity but clearly struggled over the years – one struggling with addiction, one child embracing religion – it is that search for meaning and identity.

“When Jade died, the loss will have created a profound disruption to the emotional structure of the family, removing a key figure whose role had anchored the children. In stepping in to fill the gap, Jeff appears to have prioritised protecting the children and managing the practical and emotional demands of single parenting, which may have limited his ability to process his own grief.”

Holly said she is now focusing on creating a “stable environment” for her unborn child and is determined to move forward without Freddy.

A representative for Freddy Brazier told the Mirror: “We are aware of the claims that have been made and have made the decision not to address them at this time. Freddie remains committed to cooperating where appropriate and to making the right decisions for the wellbeing of everyone involved, especially the child on the way. We ask that matters are given the space to be handled privately and respectfully.”
