There’s emotional scenes ahead as one Emmerdale resident vanishes in the fallout to some earth-shattering news.
Fans saw the truth finally come out this week as Steph Miligan discovered what really happened to her missing granddad Anthony Fox. Not only that, but she learned the distressing news that he was in fact her biological father, after sexually abusing her mother Ruby Miligan when she was a teenager.
Ruby broke her silence about the rape her sick father Anthony subjected her to years earlier in a recent episode. She and husband Caleb Miligan vowed that Steph would never learn the truth.
But after Ruby killed her dad, with the body disposed of by John Sugden weeks ago, Anthony’s vanishing act sparked concern for Steph. She would not drop it and this week things came to a head, when she accused her parents of harming him.
A handful of villagers knew the truth after the killing of Anthony, but they made a pact to cover it all up. But with Steph ready to go to the police to drop her parents in it, Caleb decided to take the blame to protect Ruby and stop Steph from learning the full truth.

Ruby decided enough was enough though, and finally opened up to her daughter about the horrific man Anthony really was. She revealed all on the abuse she suffered and why she really left home at 16 years old.
Steph put the pieces together though and she broke down as she realised Anthony had got her mother pregnant after abusing her, and therefore he was her biological father. She was shown struggling to cope with the devastating realisation and that is set to continue next week when she briefly goes AWOL.
New spoilers for the ITV soap have revealed what happens next, as Steph struggles to deal with what’s happened and soon make a big decision. In the initial fallout Steph goes missing and her parents can’t reach her.
Caleb and Ruby are deeply concerned, but Ruby manages to figure out where her daughter could be and goes to find her. Steph is at Anthony’s burial spot having seen Ruby crying there before.
The mother and daughter share an emotional heart-to-heart where Ruby promises Steph they will work through their trauma together. But Steph soon takes action with a big plan, gathering those caught up in Anthony’s murder together to make an announcement – but what has she got planned?
