ITV Protection fans ‘work out’ Amy secret as they spot ‘contradiction’ in story

Protection viewers are convinced that Amy is hiding a big secret as they spot a major issue in the case. The ITV hit drama made a return to our TV screens on Monday (March 17) night for another gripping episode.

The show is inspired by the experiences of a seasoned witness protection officer and delves into the dark world of crime and corruption, with Siobhan Finneran taking the lead as DI Liz Nyles.

Tonight, DI Liz’s guard was up following a warning from DS Paul Brandice telling her not to not trust anyone. To make things worse, youngster Amy is now in deep danger as the only potential witness to the hit on her family but it soon made pretty clear that she wasn’t keen on giving any information.

During her police interview, they attempted to get as much information for the young girl that could help solve the case, however Amy claimed not to have seen anything.

On their way back from the police interview, Liz’s car is followed by a motorist, presumably a hit man. In a thrilling chase scene Liz and Amy are forced to make a stop as they attempt to make their escape. They managed to get Amy to safety, but the identity of the mystery man is not revealed.

Things take a turn for the worse for Liz as her daughter arrives home from her dad’s to find Amy staying with them in her bedroom.

As expected, Liz’s daughter is not happy about someone else taking over her bedroom while she was away, which forces Liz into a new motherly position for Amy, but it comes at a price as she neglects her own daughter.
