Taskmaster has become one of Channel 4’s most successful shows and will now air two series a year until 2026.

Greg Davies as usual will host the show alongside his ever faithful assistant, Alex Horne.

However, Alex has named who he wants to replace comedian Greg should he decide to step down from the show in the future.

In an interview on The Kickabout with Toby Tarrant (sitting in for Johnny Vaughan) on Radio X, Toby asked Alex if the show was getting bigger.

Taskmaster

“Yeah, weirdly it is. It’s only on YouTube in America, but it seems to have picked up momentum somehow.

“And I like being a niche, culty thing, and it is that. You know, it’s a very small thing in a huge pond.

“But, I mean, I’ve always said if Greg goes – which he will eventually, because he’s not a healthy man – it’s going to be… I think Trump is the only possible successor.”

Toby replied: “Oh, that would be a sort of nice full circle.
