Britain’s Got Talent hosts Ant and Dec announced Stacey Leadbetter as the winner of the semi-finals after a tough competition on Saturday evening. This weekend’s performances included dancers, magicians, singers and an impressionist, making it a tough decision for the audience at home.

In seventh place came John Pierce, while in sixth came Jannick Holste. Minion dance group, Little M’s were announced as fifth place while the crowd booed at the public’s choice at not placing them higher.

Magician Alexandra Burgio came in fourth place after a lengthy new act which impressed judges but annoyed fans at home. Hosts Ant and Dec then revealed Cheer Re Mans were third place in the semi-finals, again disappointing the crowd.

And finally, Stacey Leadbetter was revealed as the winner of the semi-finals after performing Demi Lovato’s Anyone, narrowly beating impressionist Will Burns – who received the Golden Buzzer during his auditions.

Will took the loss like a champ as he said: “The best experience of my entire life. I’m only 25 and I’ve already done it so thank you. Well done Stacey!”

Stacey, shocked by the announcement, was asked about how she felt. She explained: “I can’t even explain it, thank you so much! Oh my God, I don’t have the words! Thank you so much for believing in me, it means everything to me.”

Stacey will join Olly in the finals after he lifted the roof off the Eventim Apollo by showcasing his incredible skills on the electric guitar. They also join the likes of Vinnie McKee and The Blackouts for the final.

Last week, the long-running show was hit with ‘fix’ claims after the chaotic live semi-final, which saw The Blackouts and Vinnie McKee secure their places in the final.

In the show’s first, The Blackouts were sent straight through to the final as chosen judge Amanda Holden was given the power to press the Golden Buzzer. Singer Vinnie McKee secured second place in the final after receiving the most votes from the public, beating Linda Mudzenda.

Fans were furious with the live results and rushed to social media to complain about Linda being kicked out of the competition.

Taking to X, formerly known as Twitter, one disappointed viewer called the show a “fix” as they posted: “No way #BGT Was that a public vote!! Mediocre pub singer wins ! No way total fix.” Another infuriated fan wrote: That’s a fix. She was better than him. #BGT”.

“Linda robbed!” exclaimed a third, while a fourth annoyed viewer commented: “Linda was the FAR superior singer tonight.”

During their auditions, Linda and Vinnie received Golden Buzzers after wowing the judges and the crowd with their performances. Vinnie got the buzzer from Simon Cowell while Linda got one from Alesha Dixon.

The semi-finals were also hit with several setbacks when second act of the night, Teddy Magic, wasn’t ready to appear on stage.

“Now, Teddy isn’t quite ready backstage yet…so we’re just going to chat to you judges-” while Dec explained: “We’re going to have a little change of plan.” His double act interrupted: “Just while he gets himself ready and composed backstage.”

It was later announced Teddy wouldn’t be performing but would return later in the series. Another disastrous moment saw The Blackouts delayed in their start time as the show faced technical difficulties.
