Rodrygo’s Real Madrid future has looked uncertain after falling down the pecking order under new boss Xabi Alonso and Arsenal, Liverpool and Tottenham have all been linked with a move

Arsenal are open to a move for Real Madrid star Rodrygo, should the Brazilian star be available on loan. The La Liga giants are open to an exit for the forward who has struggled to work his way into Xabi Alonso’s plans.
Rodrygo featured from the start just once during the team’s Club World Cup campaign and does not appear to be a primary option for new boss Alonso, who also has Kylian Mbappe, Carlos Vinicius and Jude Bellingham at his disposal. Real Madrid have not been proactive in finding a new club for their charge but would listen to offers.
While the official position is that Rodrygo is to stay at the Bernabeu, the former Santos ace is reported to be working with several intermediaries in search of alternatives. No formal negotiations are underway but Liverpool and Tottenham, in addition to Arsenal, have been linked with his signature.
It seemed any chance of a deal with the Gunners was unlikely after Mikel Arteta’s side signed Noni Madueke this summer, and Eberechi Eze appeared to emerge as a key target. A move for Crystal Palace ace Eze is perhaps not as likely as it once was, with Arsenal maybe eyeing a player more predominantly used in a wider position.
The Times report that the north London team are still keeping tabs on Rodrygo’s situation. But they will only consider making a move if a temporary option is available.

Last month, Real coach Alonso suggested no decision had been made on Rodrygo’s future, despite the forward struggling to break into his team. “The fact that he didn’t play again was a decision based on the game,” he said during the Club World Cup.
“The way things were going, we needed a different player. Throughout this championship, there haven’t been any decisions about the future; we haven’t rotated much.”
A loan move may not be what the Spanish side are looking for however, with reports earlier in the summer claiming they never pushed Rodrygo towards the exit door and a transfer would only have been considered if an offer of £78million or more was received.

Liverpool were noted to have turned their attention to Real Madrid’s star after failing with their bid for Alexander Isak. According to ESPN Brazil, Liverpool reached out to the 24-year-old’s representatives ahead of making an official offer.
Rodrygo is said to have agreed personal terms with the Premier League champions. It has even been suggest that Les Merengues could drop their asking price.
