Adriana Ribeiro, 42, and her boyfriend Marcone Cardoso, 26, had parked up by a cliff edge in Brazil after going to a party but their moment of intimacy ended in tragedy
A moment of passion ended in tragedy when a couple having sex in a car send it over a cliff to their deaths.
Adriana Ribeiro, 42, and her boyfriend Marcone Cardoso, 26, had been to a party in Venda Nova do Imigrante, south-eastern Brazil, when they stopped off at a well known scenic spot by the edge of a 1,300 drop, popular with hang gliders. They had dropped off Marcone’s brother and his girlfriend when they are understood to have decided on a moment of intimacy together. But sadly they had chosen a bad location for their heightened passions as while they were having sex, their car rolled over the cliff.
The vehicle plunged over the precipice and the couple’s naked bodies fell from the car, which was found at the base of the mountain. In the incident which happened around 1am last Monday, the car is thought to have dropped around 100m before the pair were ejected after possibly hitting a rock. It comes after a newlywed’s heartbreak as her husband and baby daughter were killed during honeymoon.

Marcone’s brother told how the couple had been dating for six months and on the night of the tragedy he had been dropped off at his home by them, reported CNN.
“They left me at home and went out together. He had worked all weekend, hadn’t seen her for four days, and they went out together,” he said. Adriana, who was from the local area and had worked for 16 years at her mum’s bakery, was divorced and leaves behind two children, a boy and a girl, from that relationship.
Police made the tragic discovery of Adriana and Marcone close to the car and detective Alberto Roque Peres said that there was no reason to suggest anything sinister had led to their deaths.
He told local media: “There were no signs of violence at the scene or on the bodies, and the car’s handbrake was engaged.” Instead investigators believe it was the couple rocking the car inside that had caused it to shift and tip over the edge.
The car was found on private land by a caretaker at 7am the following day. Det Roque Peres continued: “Residents reported hearing a loud noise between 1:30am and 2am, but because it was dark and the vegetation was thick, no one saw anything at the time.”
Tiago Amorim, who works at the hang-gliding site, was one local who heard the noise during the night. He told TV Gazeta: “I saw the car’s engine very far away and the car fell almost 150m from the top. It was a shocking scene, the car was destroyed, turned into a piece of paper. It is very high.”
A firefighter described the scene to press stating: “It was very steep terrain. At the bottom there was dense vegetation, and at the top there was a rock wall. The first body, the man’s, was right at the base of the rock wall. Now, to search for the second victim, the team had to make a trail through the dense vegetation.”
