Denise Van Outen has revealed the secret behind how she manages to maintain her sensational figure.
The Essex-born DJ and presenter recently turned turned 50, and she’s still looking as glamorous as ever.
Just last week, the mother-of-one showed off her incredible figure in a coral swimsuit while documenting her sun-soaked holiday in the Maldives on her Instagram page.
And now, the actress has revealed the secret behind her enviable figure, which she says gives her ‘confidence’.
Denise told Closer magazine: ‘I’m mindful of healthy eating throughout the year, but I definitely eat more colourful food and fruit before a holiday, I step up my exercise too and put in more effort at my PT sessions.
‘At my age, you want to put in a bit of work if you want to feel confident in swimwear. I’ve been training a lot.
‘At the weekends, I get up really early in the morning and do a PT session while Betsy (her daughter) is still in bed.
‘I mainly do weights, because you need to make sure you have strong bones, but I also walk a lot with my two dogs. I’m always zipping around!’
Denise said she loves to relax on holiday and enjoy a few treats, indulging in a buffet breakfast while taking a break from intermittent fasting.
The singer recently jetted back form a plush trip to the Maldives, where she shared snaps of her soaking in the sunshine and drinking cocktails.
Though she only shared snaps solo, it was later revealed that Denise may have taken the trip with a new man, believed to be a businessman called Adam Butler.
The pair had allegedly enjoyed a ‘string of dates’ before the ‘hunk’ joined her in the Maldives on a work trip after they were spotted together at Akira Black in London.
A friend of Denise’s told The Sun: ‘Denise loved being single and has been so busy with her TV work and DJ-ing but Adam is someone she’s enjoyed spending time with.
‘They went public last month on a date at Akira Black in the Mandarin Oriental in London.
‘She is in a great place in her life, her career is soaring and Adam is a successful businessman, so they compliment each other so well.’
Denise has been single since her split from Jimmy Barba in October 2023.
The presenter has been open about her dating struggles, particularly since she moved to the countryside in Kent.
She later joined the exclusive dating app Raya, saying she would not have much of a love life without it.
‘I’m still on my Raya dating app, I’ve gone on quite a few dates with different people, I’ve seen so many celebrities [on Raya], but you aren’t allowed to say who is on there,’ she told The Sun.
One of the likely reasons for Denise’s dating dilemma is the time she devotes to her 14-year-old daughter, Betsy, and juggling that with her hectic work schedule.
In an exclusive interview with MailOnline in November, she spoke of feeling ‘mum guilt’ when parenting Betsy.
‘I think most working parents find it difficult to find a balance,’ said Denise.
‘It’s now easier as Betsy is older and understands my job more and the commitments that come with it.’
Denise was previously in a relationship with Eddie Boxshall for seven years before ending their relationship in 2022 after discovering unfaithful messages.

Jay Kay (1998-2001)
Denise, who narrates The Only Way Is Essex, dated Jamiroquai lead singer Jay Kay, 52, for three years from 1998 to 2001.
The TV personality, 47, enjoyed a highly-publicised relationship with the Jamiroquai bandmember, 52, before they ‘painfully’ called it quits back in 2001.
Denise even wrote about him in her new autobiography A Bit Of Me, and he claimed they called off their plans to marry due to ‘conflicting’ jobs at the time.
Nick Moran (2001)
After Jay, there was a brief rebound fling with Lock, Stock And Two Smoking Barrels actor Nick Moran.
One onlooker observed of one of their date nights: ‘They were like a pair of magnets – stuck together all night. They were kissing and cuddling like love-struck kids.’
Yet their relationship wasn’t meant to be and the two stars split up shortly after they first began dating.
Richard Traviss (2003-2005)
Following this, Denise dated nightclub owner Richard Traviss from 2003 until 2005, with the couple even becoming engaged during their romance.
During their relationship the couple were hit by cheating claims when a lapdancer penned a kiss and tell claiming to have slept with Richard in 2003 – claims that he and Denise denied.
Despite this the couple called it quits two years later but on good terms, with Denise telling ES Magazine: ‘We’re still talking and we’re still great mates.’
Lee Mead (2007-2013)
Denise first walked down the aisle to wed her daughter Betsy’s father Lee Mead, 40, however they separated four years later in 2013.
Denise married Lee in the Seychelles in 2009, after meeting on the 2007 TV show Any Dream Will Do where she was a judge and he was a contestant. They welcomed Betsy in 2010.
Denise confirmed they had parted ways in June 2013 – just six months after being named the runner-up on Strictly’s tenth series.
Eddie Boxshall (2015-2022)
Denise began dating commodities trader Eddie Boxshall in 2015 and while the couple were never formally engaged they had announced they planned to marry.
She split from Eddie in January 2022 after he was caught having phone sex with other women, with Eddie later admitting he sent up to 20 sext messages behind Denise’s back.
Eddie said he feels ashamed and ‘deeply regrets’ sending the messages and said he contacted his presenter ex-girlfriend many times to apologise but she did not want to reconcile their relationship.
