Florence Pugh has reportedly got engaged to actor boyfriend Finn Cole after the pair ‘found something special’ together.
The Oscar-nominated actress and the Peaky Blinders star, both 29, were first romantically linked last September, but have not publicly confirmed their relationship.
The couple have been friends for years and were first reported to be secretly dating after they were seen slipping out of the after-party for the London premiere of Netflix hit The Perfect Couple together last September.
A source has now revealed the pair have been getting to know each other away from the spotlight and plan to get hitched.
They told The Sun: ‘Finn and Florence have been in a bubble getting to know each other away from the spotlight.
‘They are both putting everything into their careers but have found something special between them.’
Daily Mail have contacted Finn and Florence’s representatives for comment.
While she wouldn’t name Finn, Florence confirmed her relationship status during her October cover shoot with Vogue, and has confessed she is very much in love and is approaching their romance differently to things in the past.
She confirmed: ‘I am [in a relationship]. OK, so something that I resonate with is that I believe that if magic is real, then it’s falling in love.’
Florence candidly revealed that she and her partner were ‘figuring it out’ and said she is ready to start a family.
She added: ‘We are figuring what we actually are. And I think for the first time, I’m not allowing myself to go on a roller-coaster.
‘I’m allowing myself to take time to let something evolve and let it be completely real to its core, as opposed to racing into that.
‘Falling is the most amazing feeling but unfortunately if that’s the only thing that you know in a relationship, then that’s the thing that you chase. That’s not gonna last.’
Finn previously showed his support to Florence in April as they both walked the red carpet of her new Marvel film Thunderbolts*.
While the duo did not pose directly together – with Finn even striking poses solo on the red carpet – his presence at the premiere provided a telling clue about just how important they are to one another.
Notably, he appeared in a group photo featuring Florence and her friends and family, making a red carpet debut of sorts with the actress.
He looked in top spirits as he appeared near the edge of the group, with Florence posing several feet away from him looking gorgeous in a black gown and Ara Vartanian jewellery.
The actor and the actress are thought to have been dating for several months, however neither of them have officially confirmed their relationship.
The pair had previously been seen partying at Glastonbury Festival together, while Florence had been spotted liking his Instagram posts and shared her delight when it was revealed he had landed a role in the theatre production Red Speedo.
She commented on the post: ‘Oh my gosh this is unbelievably exciting!’ and added that she’d be bringing her beloved grandmother, sharing: ‘Granny Pat wants to come… #obvi’.
Finn is best known for playing Michael Gray in the BBC series Peaky Blinders, which he starred in alongside his brother Joe.
Prior to Finn, Florence was in a relationship with former Scrubs star Zach Braff, 49, from 2019 until their split in 2022.
Giving a rare insight into their relationship, the star explained: ‘I had to be public in the past because people were bullying me and bullying my partner.
‘Mine and Zach’s relationship was actually quite private until it was nasty, and I could see the toll that it was taking on him and us and our families. And that’s when I spoke out.
‘I think for anyone I’m with, I want to protect them. It’s not nice knowing that people are saying the worst things I’ve ever read about someone that I love.
‘So that was necessary. I needed to talk about it. I think any relationship in this limelight is going to be stressed.’
Florence confirmed in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in August 2022 that the pair had gone their separate ways.
She told the magazine at the time: ‘We’ve been trying to do this separation without the world knowing, because it’s been a relationship that everybody has an opinion on.
‘We just felt something like this would really do us the benefit of not having millions of people telling us how happy they are that we’re not together. So we’ve done that.’
The pair later reunited during the release of their film A Good Person in 2023, with Zach explaining at the time that the pair still ‘love each other’ despite now only being ‘friends’.
Meanwhile Florence split from photographer Charlie Gooch in 2023 after a year of dating.
And before that, she was linked to Harry Styles after the pair shared a kiss while shooting 2022 film Don’t Worry Darling in America.
