The Chase fans were left fuming after two surprising moments unfolded during Tuesday’s episode.
During the latest episode of the ITV show, Bradley Walsh welcomed four new contestants: Binesh, Tash, Omar, and Annabelle, who were eager to test their general knowledge.
The quartet faced off against Anne ‘The Governess’ Hegerty, who was in top form, managing to catch the first player, Binesh.
But Binesh wasn’t the only unlucky contestant during the intense quiz.
As the game progressed, Anne also managed to catch Tash and Omar, leaving Annabelle to face the final cash-builder round alone.
With everything on the line, the contestant boldly chose the highest offer of £80,000 following an impressive round.

She then stunned viewers by securing the full amount for the prize pot and making it to the final chase on her own.
Despite answering an impressive 20 questions, victory slipped through her fingers in the final moments.
Anne managed to catch her in the last few moments, leaving her devastated and going home empty-handed.
Following the intense scenes, fans took to X to share their disappointment online.
They said: ‘Ahhh man Annabelle got caught with 9 secs to go & the Governess kept the 80k. Brilliant effort nonetheless;
‘Awwww! I’m really feeling for Annabelle! That was a proper penalty shoot out. She did so well. I was really rooting for her;
‘Oh absolutely gutted for Annabelle very well done;
‘Annabelle has been robbed. Some of the questions for Anne were way too easy #thechase;

‘Oh, Annabelle, I thought the 80k was hers just for a minute. Well played sweet Xx #TheChase;
‘There should be some £££ for Annabelle. Not fair a superb solo contestant, going home with nothing.’
Earlier on in the show, viewers were left scratching their heads when contestant Tash made a surprising decision to take the lowest offer of just £300, despite saying she planned to use her winnings for a house deposit.
When Tash took the podium, she told Bradley that she and her partner were saving for a home, and anything she won would go towards the deposit.
After securing £3,000 in the cash-builder round, she was presented with a choice: play for the £33,000 high offer, the £300 low offer, or stick with her current earnings.
To everyone’s surprise, Tash opted for the £300, hoping it would increase her chances of reaching the final.

Unfortunately, she couldn’t outsmart Anne and ended up leaving the show without a single penny.
It didn’t take long for fans to take to X to express their confusion over Tash’s puzzling decision during the game.
They said: ‘Tash saving for a house deposit takes 300 low offer;
‘I want a deposit for a house so I’ll go for the £300;
‘Goodbye. You wont be buying your tent now with that massive £300;
‘Choose a low offer for £300 and still lose it;
‘£300 quid. Ffs;
‘Anyone who takes the low offer of £300 on #Thechasedeserves to go out.’
The Chase airs weekdays from 5pm on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
