A ritzy Hamptons village has been left on edge after a dead woman was found inside a docked boat at a yacht club.
The unidentified victim was located on a boat at the lavish Montauk Yacht Club 4am Tuesday, according to Suffolk County police.
The woman’s body has not been identified and the manner of death is unknown, a spokesperson with the agency told Daily Mail.
Detectives with the Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad are investigating the mysterious discovery.
Violent crimes are unusual in the upscale Long Island beach and resort area that is known for its monstrous mansions and high-end dining.
Influencers and celebrities often flock to the area, especially in the summer months.
Tourists and residents spend their time in the sun, enjoying expensive drinks and dining at premier restaurants.

A ritzy French spot, Bagatelle at Gosman’s Montauk, recently opened it’s doors just by the yacht club.
The club is also near a staple restaurant, The Dock Bar & Grill. The spot has been open for more than 30 years, according to its website.
Other nearby destinations include Gin Beach Cafe, Inlet Seafood Restaurant, Westlake Fish House, Lynn’s Hula Hut and the Montauk Airport.
Montauk Yacht club offers luxurious accommodations, including rooms for guests to stay in, food and drink options, spa services and a slew of amenities, including a pool, beach, harbor cruises, biking and yoga.
