22 Kids and Counting fans speechless as Sue Radford reveals huge price of weekly food shop

Sue Radford, who is mum to 22 children, has revealed the whopping price of one weekly food shop for her brood

Sue Radford has floored fans after the 22 Kids and Counting star shared how much she spends on a weekly food shop.

Proud mama of 22 children, Sue, 50, became a household name with the rest of the family back in 2012, when she let cameras into her home with husband Noel, 54, for the very first time.

Sue and Noel are parents to Christopher, 36, Sophie, 31, Chloe, 30, Jack, 28, Daniel, 26, Luke, 24, Millie, 23, Katie, 22, James, 21, Ellie, 20 and Aimee, 19, as well as Josh, 18, Max, 16, Tillie, 15, Oscar, 13, Casper, 12, Alfie, stillborn in 2014, Hallie, 10, Phoebe, 9, Archie, 7, Bonnie, 7, and Heidie, 5.

Since shooting to fame over 10 years ago, the Morecambe-based family have rarely remained off screens, with the latest series of Channel 5’s 22 Kids and Counting airing earlier this year.

And recently, Sue gave fans a look inside her weekly food shop to feed her family, and revealed the eye-watering cost. On their Instagram Story, Sue uploaded a photo of their kitchen covered in groceries from Aldi.

“Aldi shop all done. Who wants to take a guess of how much it was and more importantly how long it will last,” she wrote.

Sue later revealed the amount: “Lots of you guessed pretty close but most guessed around £200. The actually total was £375.65.”

And it’s fair to say fans were left floored by the amount, with plenty thinking it would be higher. On Facebook, one person wrote: “£375 divided between 22kids + 2 adults (assumption) is £15 person. That really isn’t much for a week’s food.”

Another added: “That’s actually impressive to feed everyone for £15.65 per person per week.” A third chimed in: “That’s not that bad tbh”

When asked how much the food will last, Sue replied to a fan: “It’ll last a week but will have to do 2 top-ups in between of fruit bread milk juice and cereal.” The follower said back: “That’s not too bad then.”

It comes after Sue and Noel welcomed a brand new four-legged member into their family. Taking to their joint Instagram, the pair shared several photos of their adorable new dog. In the caption, they wrote: “Hi everyone I’m Mavie. I’m a cream long haired miniature Dachshund I’m settling in really well and everyone loves me.”

22 Kids and Counting airs on Channel 5.
