3 Apple Black Friday deals we’ve found that beat the brand’s own prices

Apple kit is on many Christmas lists and these deals are cheaper than the Apple Store

Black Friday is approaching fast, and deals and discounts are already appearing, including on Apple devices. Ahead of next week’s official November 28 date these early deals are worth looking at.

We’ve already shared a full collection of Apple Black Friday deals worth checking out, but there are three deals worth highlighting. Apple is one of the top brands for shoppers on Black Friday, remaining one of the more expensive, but most premium, when it comes to tech.

The deals see the lowest price ever on AirPods Pro 2 at Amazon, a great deal on AirTags and a savvy way to getting the new iPhone 17 for less. As both Amazon and Argos launch eye-catching deals for Apple fans.

These prices will beat the Apple Store, helping shoppers get their essential tech gifts for a little less this year. Starting at the top, here is a reminder of the three deals that we are looking at, with more details below:

  1. Apple AirPods Pro – save £60 – now £169 on Amazon
  2. Apple iPhone 17 – get an extra £50 on trade-in – from Argos
  3. Apple AirTag – save £7 – now £28 on Amazon

AirPods Pro at the lowest price yet

The AirPods Pro were updated in 2025 to the Pro 3 – but the Pro 2 have been a stellar set of earbuds for Apple users, not only offering great sound quality and seamless connectivity, but great noise cancellation and advanced features like the hearing aid feature.

The AirPods Pro 2 offer great sound quality, noise cancellation and a whole collection of advanced features.

The AirPods Pro have been up to £229 on Amazon as recently as September, but have more consistently sold for around £199 recently. That now takes a reduction to £169, which is a great price for these in-ear headphones.

The AirPods Pro 2 come with a charging case with USB-C as well as MagSafe wireless charging, with up to six hours of use from a single charge. They are IP54 water and dust resistant, so they won’t mind if they get splashed in the rain or soaked with sweat.

They also come with four silicon tips to help users find exactly the right fit. AirPods work with iPhone and Android, but only Apple users get all the features. Android users might be more interested in the discounted Sony WF-1000XM5 for £179 on Amazon (save £40).

iPhone 17 – save on trade-in

iPhone buyers will be well aware that trading in an old device is a great way to reduce the cost of a new phone. Argos has a bonus, not only offering trade-in rates on old devices, but offering a £50 bonus for those buying the iPhone 17 – but there’s only a couple of days left on this offer.

Save an extra £50 when you trade-in an eligible device at Argos – savings depend on the value of trade-in device – price based on trading in iPhone 16

That makes this deal worth paying attention to: it’s definitely worth heading over to the Argos site and seeing what that old phone is worth, remembering that there’s an additional £50 bonus when buying the iPhone 17 too. Trade in an iPhone 16 and shoppers could get up to £511 off – and then the extra £50.

The iPhone 17 is the star of the new iPhone range. It’s the most affordable device – starting at £799 for the 256GB model – but it also jumps up in performance compared to previous years.

This is thanks to the ProMotion (120Hz) display with increased brightness and Always-On feature – as well as a larger 6.3-inch size. The iPhone 17 also has improved battery life and the latest A19 chip, faster wireless charging than the iPhone 16, double storage for the same price and a boosted ultra-wide camera.

Not to mention the design, which I personally think is the best of all the iPhone 17 models. Note that to qualify, shoppers need to purchase the new iPhone 17 by 19 November – all terms and conditions are on the Argos site.

In comparison to the older iPhone 16, however, the camera controls have not been given an update. Which to some shoppers could be disappointing.

Apple AirTag – a cheaper find

The AirTag is the ultimate accessory for Apple users and a great stocking filler come Christmas morning. This Bluetooth tracker allows iPhone users to find stuff easily, by slipping the AirTag into that bag, coat or kid’s stuffed toy.

The Apple AirTag is a great way to keep track of items, with the benefit of Apple’s huge Find My network

However, a downside is that they are only compatible with Apple users, as they only work with iPhones. Android users are better off looking elsewhere for Bluetooth trackers, like the Tile, which is currently discounted to £24.99 on Amazon.

The battery of the AirTag can be replaced, so it will keep on going and going. AirTags are regularly discounted, but Apple is selling these for £35 at the moment – and Amazon has them for £28.

The Apple AirTag benefits from the Find My network running on Apple phones, meaning that if something is lost, the entire network of over a billion iPhones can help to locate it. It’s the largest network of this type, beating the likes or Tile in scale.
