Arsenal news: Bukayo Saka’s secret decision emerges as £75million-rated winger on transfer list

Arsenal reportedly have a £75million-rated forward in their crosshairs as a major update about Bukayo Saka comes to light

Arsenal look favourites for the Premier League after making a strong start to the season. The Gunners have spent the majority of the campaign at the summit as they aim to finally end more than two decades of hurt, near-misses and lingering what-ifs.

Their summer spending spree – totalling more than £250million – brought a wave of high-calibre signings to the Emirates Stadium. Viktor Gyokeres, Eberechi Eze and Martin Zubimendi have all become integral first-team figures, quickly justifying their hefty price tags.

Further additions such as Noni Madueke, Christian Norgaard, Cristhian Mosquera, Piero Hincapie and Kepa Arrizabalaga have bolstered the squad’s depth, giving Mikel Arteta what is arguably the most balanced and powerful squad of his tenure.

But that doesn’t mean there isn’t space to add another blockbuster name or two – whether in January or next summer. With that in mind, here are the latest Arsenal-related headlines.

Arsenal are reportedly weighing up a move for Borussia Dortmund star Karim Adeyemi. The 23-year-old has developed into one of the Bundesliga’s most exciting forwards, registering 28 goal contributions in 56 appearances.

Renowned for his blistering pace and threat in transition, Adeyemi has even been likened to a blend of Bukayo Saka and Noni Madueke. Unlike those two, however, the Germany international offers true positional flexibility, capable of operating on either flank or through the middle.

Dortmund are thought to value Adeyemi at around £75m, though with his contract running until 2027, there may be room for negotiation.

Saka life update

Bukayo Saka has announced his engagement to long-term partner Tolami Benson. The 24-year-old broke the news on social media on Friday, sharing a post that simply read: “17.11.25,” accompanied by a beautiful collection of photos showing the pair celebrating, including one of Tolami’s ring.

Many of Saka’s current and former team-mates showered the couple with praise in the comments section. Ex-Arsenal striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang wrote: “Not (lil) chilli anymore. Congrats Chilli boy,” whilst Gabriel Martinelli posted a series of heart emojis.

The post was also liked by Eberechi Eze, Gabriel, Ivan Toney, Marcus Rashford and Jesse Lingard. The announcement follows Saka proposing to his long-time girlfriend Benson during an evening out in London.

Bukayo and Tomali have been together for five years. Their relationship was made official during the 2022 World Cup, when Tomali was photographed alongside other England WAGs in the stands.
