Channel 4 has given us a sneak peek into its latest crime drama, and it’s shaping up to be a hit with telly enthusiasts.
In Flight is a six-part series centred around a flight attendant who finds herself coerced into drug smuggling after her teenage son is tragically arrested abroad.
The show boasts a star-studded cast, including Katherine Kelly from Coronation Street andAshley Thomas from Top Boy. Channel 4 has dubbed In Flight a “compelling crime-thriller drama.”

What is In Flight about?
In Flight spins the tale of Jo Conran, a flight attendant and single mum, who gets entangled in the dark world of drug smuggling when her son is charged with murder in Bulgaria, reports the Express.
The synopsis reveals: “As Jo becomes ensnared in the murky underworld of corruption and hired killers, she is forced to carry out their orders while desperately trying to find a way out. She turns to her ex, Dom, for help; however, no matter how far Jo finds herself from her old life, her mission remains the same: to keep her son alive.
“Set against the fast-paced, high-pressure backdrop of international air travel, In Flight follows Jo’s relentless quest to protect her family while entangled in a dangerous criminal syndicate.”
Full cast
Katherine Kelly, famed for her roles in Coronation Street and Happy Valley, takes centre stage in the In Flight cast as Jo Conran, a flight attendant and single mum who is at the heart of the series.
She’s joined by Stuart Martin of Rebel Moon fame, who portrays Cormac, a key member of a criminal gang. Ashley Thomas from Top Boy also stars as customs officer Dom Delaney, who happens to be Jo’s ex.
The ensemble cast is rounded off with Bronagh Waugh as Melanie, Harry Cadby as Sonny, Corinna Brown as Kayla, and Ambreen Razia as Zara.
How to watch
In Flight comprises six hour-long episodes, with the first set to air on Channel 4 on Tuesday, 12 August at 9pm.
Channel 4 has yet to announce whether the entire series will be available on their online streaming service on Tuesday or if episodes will be broadcast weekly on the channel.
