EastEnders fans have been left utterly gobsmacked after they worked out that a grand total of 14 people are currently living in Sonia Fowler’s home on the BBC soap

Sonia’s house has become the home to many

EastEnders fans are left stunned as they realise a staggering FOURTEEN people are crammed into Sonia Fowler’s home. The generous character, portrayed by Natalie Cassidy, opened her doors to the Carter and Knight families after their pub was destroyed in the 40th anniversary special.

Despite recently giving birth to baby Julia amidst the chaos and dealing with the aftermath of Reiss Colwell’s actions and subsequent death, Sonia extended her hospitality to numerous newcomers. Currently, 25 Albert Square seems to be bursting at the seams with 14 inhabitants, despite the house only having THREE bedrooms across its two floors.

It’s believed there’s a bedroom on the ground floor and two upstairs, along with a family bathroom. At the moment, TWELVE individuals, a parrot and a dog are squeezed into the property that was once home to just Sonia and her villainous ex, Reiss.

It’s thought Sonia is sharing the space with her daughters, Bex and Julia, and her sister, Bianca Jackson. Linda Carter, who is currently without a home, is also staying there with three of her five children – Ollie, Annie and Johnny.

Linda’s mum, Elaine Peacock, and her husband George Knight have also moved in. George’s daughter Anna and his brother Kojo Asare are also under the same roof.

Their pet dog Tyson and Jasper Parrott are also part of the crowded household. One baffled fan questioned the peculiar arrangement, asking: “How is this explained in the canon when it looks like a 2-up-2-down, not even a third story?”.

One fan even worked out that the household is collectively spending £52 a month on toilet paper. The fan explained their calculations, citing a statistic which stated: “The average UK resident uses approximately 127 rolls of toilet paper per year, translating to about 2.5 rolls per week.”

They then figured out that one person would therefore use 10 toilet rolls a month.

Multiplying this by 14 to get 140 rolls for the entire household, they said: “24-pack of cushelle toilet rolls is £8.98 in Asda, so that works out at about £52 a month on toilet roll. But then again, everyone seems to shop at the mini-mart so they’re probably buying a pack of 4 rolls per day so probably spending a fair bit more than that unless Elaine is doing the Asda run with all the spare time she’s got on her hands now.”

This led another EastEnders viewer to point out: “Yet no sign of anyone of them dossing on the sofa? No duvet/pillows/blankets strewn around nor any clothes causing clutter in such a rammed place?” Another said: “No scramble at mealtimes or queues for the shower in the morning or waiting for the toilet.” A third chimed in: “Imagine 5mins in the WC twice a day for everyone to use all that toilet roll – that’s nearly 3 solid hours that its occupied so people might be waiting.”
