Ellie Goulding, who has been nominated for two Grammys, started dating actor Beau Minniear around six months ago after she separated from husband Caspar Jopling
Ellie Goulding and Beau Minniear’s pal gushed about their relationship last night — as it emerged the singer is pregnant.
The pop star, 38, is expecting her second child after welcoming Arthur Ever Winter Jopling in April 2021 with then husband Caspar Jopling, who is an art dealer. They split last year, though, after a five-year marriage.
But Ellie’s friends have now lauded her relationship with 28-year-old actor Beau, known for roles in Night at the Eagle Inn, The Thieves of Motor City and Bad Haircut. One pal said: “Ellie and Beau are very much in love, he’s a real romantic, and they’re very sweet together. It’s really lovely to watch, she’s very happy.”
Now Ellie, who has peaked the UK charts with several tunes including Burn and Love Me Like You Do, is expecting a baby with Beau, it has emerged. The singer announced her pregnancy at the Fashion Awards last night by showing off her bump.

At the ceremony, the singer wore a black crop top and low waisted black trousers that showed off her pregnancy. She smiled at the cameras and her long leather jacket stayed unbuttoned to show it off.
Ellie and Caspar broke up in February of 2024. Beau was first thought to be dating the singer after the two were seen on a series of dates over the summer, including a romantic minibreak to Italy. They went public after their holiday when they attended a boxing match together.
Earlier this year, a source told The Sun: “Ellie is into Beau and they have a lot of shared interests like exercise and art. They’ve been having fun together and they certainly make for an attractive couple.”
Ellie, who was born in Hereford, is one of the most successful British female singers of the 21st century. Her songs, such as Anything Could Happen and How Long Will I Love You, have reached a combined 43 billion streams.
Alongside raising her son and having another child, Ellie has been writing new music. At the end of 2024, she said: “I’ve been writing about what’s been going on in my life.
“But also just observations, friends, my connection with nature — the usual things that I tend to gravitate towards writing about, maybe slightly more elevated or evolved from the last album.”
She explained that songs “don’t come easily to me” and so they are “time-consuming” to write, but she had been working on an album that has yet to come out. Other than Caspar and Beau, Ellie has also been linked to DJ Greg James. They were thought to be dating from 2010 to 2012.
