Harry Redknapp has heaped praise on two Liverpool stars after their victory against West Ham in the Premier League. The Reds secured a 2-0 win at the London Stadium on Sunday, bringing an end to their recent losing streak.
Alexander Isak and Cody Gakpo netted the goals that secured all three points for Liverpool in the capital at the weekend.
Prior to beating the Hammers, the Reds had suffered three consecutive defeats across all competitions by a three-goal margin, shipping ten goals along the way.
Liverpool have now moved up to eighth in the Premier League standings and sit three points behind the top four positions.

Next on the agenda for Arne Slot’s team is a return to Anfield where they will take on Sunderland on Wednesday evening in the top flight, reports the Liverpool Echo.
Redknapp has singled out Joe Gomez for his display in Liverpool’s triumph over West Ham. Gomez made his long-awaited comeback from injury to feature at right-back for the Reds, marking his first league start this season and only his fifth outing of the campaign in all competitions.
“Fair play to Joe Gomez, he came in from out the cold and had an excellent game at West Ham,” Redknapp told football betting site BetVictor.
“He really shored up that backline but chipped in with an assist too. I’d be surprised if he’s not involved a lot more moving forward.”
Gakpo also received plaudits from Redknapp, with the former Premier League boss revealing why the Netherlands star shines brighter than his teammates.
“Cody Gakpo had a good game for Liverpool in that win at West Ham,” Redknapp said.
“He’s clearly a lad that Slot trusts a lot, and you can see why, he delivered for him here with a goal and an assist in what was such a vital game. It’s important they build on this moving forward.”
It remains to be seen what team Slot will plan to name for Liverpool’s clash with Sunderland in midweek, and whether or not Gakpo and Gomez will earn spots in the starting line-up at Anfield.
Before beating West Ham, Liverpool had lost nine out of their previous 12 matches across all competitions including six of their last seven in the Premier League. Slot and Co. will be determined to ensure the victory over the Hammers will be the start of a winning run that includes a midweek round of top-flight fixtures.
