Jamie Vardy still finds himself without a club following his exit from Leicester at the end of last season and speculation over a move has ramped up over recent days following a post by wife Rebekah
Jamie Vardy could have been linking up with Lionel Messi if a hint dropped by wife Rebekah is to be believed, but there is nothing in the transfer speculation.
The former Leicester and England star remains without a club following his exit from the Midlands at the end of last season. Vardy has been linked with a host of clubs including Wrexham, Manchester United and Saudi sides. There is also reported interest from MLS.
And Vardy’s wife Rebekah sent fans into a frenzy earlier this week after sharing a picture of her children wearing Inter Miami shirts.
Co-owner David Beckham has assembled a star-studded squad across the pond, with the likes of Messi, Luis Suarez, Jordi Alba and Sergio Busquets all signed to the club. And despite some believing that Vardy could be the latest to arrive, it appears that a move is not happening.
As quoted by Mail Online, a source close to the club said: “No one at Inter Miami will have heard of him, they just signed Rodrigo de Paul who won the World Cup with Argentina. It was nice of them to buy the kits though.”

Vardy recently spoke out on another of the clubs linked with his services over recent days – Wrexham. The Welsh side have already signed two of the striker’s former Leicester teammates this summer with deals for Danny Ward and Conor Coady.
Writing on Instagram after the defender’s switch was confirmed, Vardy said: “All the best brother. What a player and person.”
As it stands, it appears unlikely that Wrexham will make a move for Vardy having already signed Kieffer Moore from Sheffield United. Meanwhile, Rangers boss Russell Martin did not totally rule out a move for the ex-England man.
“I think I’ve been asked about so many players,” Martin said. “Some miles away, some on the money.

“So, basically, I’m not going to give you an answer on that. But I guess you’ll find out who’s real and who’s not in the next few weeks.”
Vardy’s former side Leicester get their Championship campaign underway this weekend following their relegation from the Premier League. They take on crisis club Sheffield Wednesday – Vardy’s boyhood side – at the King Power Stadium on Sunday afternoon.

Sky has slashed the price of its Essential TV and Sky Sports bundle ahead of the 2025/26 season, saving members £192 and offering more than 1,400 live matches across the Premier League, EFL and more.
