Newsboy’s horse racing selections for Monday’s four meetings, including Kempton Nap

Newsboy reckons Chancellor will deliver value for punters in the 3.27 at Kempton Park and he also fancies No More Bolero to lead his rivals a merry dance at Plumpton (3.05)

CHANCELLOR can prove a budget winner for punters by winning today’s feature race, the Listed Unibet Hyde Stakes (3.27) over a mile at Kempton Park.

The son of Kingman has proved to be a very useful charge for John and Thady Gosden, having won on his debut as a juvenile last term at Doncaster and repeating the feat two races later at Town Moor in a novice event.

The three-year-old lost his way on his first two starts this term, but following wind and gelding operations during the summer, he returned after a six-months lay-off transformed to beat much-fancied Sarab Star a neck at the beginning of November in a seven-furlong handicap at this Sunbury track.

For a major yard and big prize-money at stake, he should run big race.

Over the jumps, NO MORE BOLERO can skate through the field in the Kalm Kitchen Christmas Handicap Hurdle (3.05) under the capable hands of Harry Cobden at Plumpton.

He was a three-time winner on the Flat in France, and after six attempts James Owen saddled him to an impressive 13-length success at Ludlow a week ago.

The six-year-old is well handicapped and has the added bonus of Cobden steering again today.
