Real Housewives of Cheshire stars Christine McGuinness and Tanya Bardsley are reportedly no longer speaking after a huge fallout last year. It has been said that ‘there is no way back’ to their former friendship after Tanya ‘ditched’ Christine and ‘wasn’t there’ for her when she was ‘going through her own stuff’.
Christine, 37, briefly appeared on the ITVBe reality show between 2018 and 2020. Meanwhile, Tanya, 43, was one of the original housewives on the show following its launch in 2015, before her departure in 2021. While Christine was on the show, she was seen helping Tanya navigate through tough times and the source said the lack of support from Tanya made Christine feel betrayed.
Speaking about Tanya’s struggles at the time, Christine told Manchester Evening News: “I understand mental illness quite a lot.

“I have been there myself with anxiety and depression. I know how it feels – certainly after I had children. She was having a difficult time and she tried to come off the meds and that didn’t do her any good.
“Seeing Tanya in that way really touched me. I would never want anyone to feel like she felt.” However, their friendship seems to be no more.
An insider has since claimed to The Sun: “The last straw was when Tanya poached her best mate Catherine to work for her.” The source was referring to Christine’s pal, Catherine Farrell, who worked with her on her old clothing line.

But she’s now reportedly close to Tanya and appeared on her new reality show. Just two years ago, Christine praised Catherine in a post shared online.
She said: “I always struggled to make friends and didn’t really socialise much at all until my late 20s. I’m lucky now to have a handful of people to call my friend.
“Thank you Cath for being there recently, more than ever I needed you and you showed up every time. Here’s to many more meltdowns! More play dates with our babies and hopefully some holidays.”
Meanwhile, Christine has been dealing with her divorce from Paddy. The pair called time on their marriage of 11 years in June 2022 but decided to keep living together for the sake of their children.
However, it was reported staying in the same house after the split led to a ‘rift’ between them – with sources claiming the former Take Me Out star “pays for everything”.
The model said earlier this month that she’s struggling to pay the £300,000 divorce bill she now faces. It’s not only Christine that seems to be struggling. Earlier this month, Paddy claimed he was going on tour because he “had no money.”
Speaking on a podcast he revealed: “I still get that feeling just before I go on, going, ‘F***, why are we doing this?’ And then I remember I am divorced. ‘Oh yeah, that’s why!’. I have no money. But honestly, it has been doing really, really well.”
