Sir Lenny Henry, actors Christopher Eccleston and Mark Rylance, and singers Charlotte Church and Paloma Faith are among the well-known faces backing a new campaign against the far right.
TOGETHER, an alliance of campaigners, unions and civil society groups, is being launched today to counter the rise of Reform and street protests led by far-right agitator Tommy Robinson.
The alliance is urging people across the country to stand up for unity in the face of attempts to fuel division.
Ahead of the launch, comedian Sir Lenny Henry said: “We stand for love over hate, hope over fear and unity over division. We’re coming together against racism, join us and be a part of it.”
Paloma Faith said: “There is no world I want to live in where discrimination is acceptable for anything. No race, gender or class is superior to any other… this is why racism makes my blood boil.”

Former Dr Who star Christopher Eccleston said: “Racism is hatred, stand with us against it.”
Singer Leigh Anne Pinnock, who rose to fame in Little Mix, said: “As an artist and a mother, I’m standing with Together Alliance to call out far-right extremism and racism for what they are, dangerous and divisive. We have to protect our communities, defend our freedoms and stand up to hate together.”
Leading figures in entertainment will join unions including the National Education Union (NEU) and the TUC to mount a social media push today to launch the campaign.
Other supporters include actors David Harewood, Maxine Peake and Toby Jones, as well as musicians Beverley Knight, the Charlatans and Fontaines DC.
And the alliance will urge people to get involved to build momentum ahead of a national demonstration in London next year.
The group said: “United against the growing division fuelled by the far right, TOGETHER aims to build momentum and public awareness ahead of a major national demonstration in London on Saturday, 28 March 2026.
“At a time when voices of division are growing louder, TOGETHER is calling for voices of hope to rise above them.
“The alliance is urging people across the country to stand up for unity, make it visible, and inspire others to speak out.”
