A woman was speechless after finding out a pair of £8 joggers she bought in a charity shop were actually worth 250 times more than she paid for them.
We all know somebody who can go into a chaotic charity shop and come out after an hour with multiple items, some of those worth lots of money or even being designer. They key to charity shopping is taking your time and checking every item, logo and label, but even then you can still come up empty handed.
Danielle, who posts all about charity shopping on TikTok under the username @charityshoplife, came across an item that was worth 250 times the amount it was being sold for in the shop supporting a local hospice. After browsing the clothing rails, the woman, who has over 160k followers on the platform, took a second look at a pair of brown jogging bottoms due to the weight of the item.
She found some writing on the item that she couldn’t decipher, and when she checked the label she saw the item was 100% wool with very sturdy hardware. But when she turned the jogging bottoms around to look at the back, she saw a logo that she knew straight away.
Danielle said: “Oh my god, there is no way I’m this lucky at the charity shop. I was going through he rail when I saw these wool jogging bottoms. they seemed like really nice quality , but I couldn’t work out what this squiggle was meant to say.
“All I knew is that they were wool, they were super heavy and the hardware was really nice. Then when I turned them over I saw a logo that I did recognise. Is that Schiaparelli? These are like £2000 jogging bottoms.
“Now I know what that squiggle was saying. I have no idea if they’re real but they’re super heavy and for £8 I was not leaving them behind.”
People commented under Danielle’s video in utter shock at what she found in the charity shop, with many calling her lucky.

Commenting under the video, Danielle explained how she had tried the joggers on and they fit her. She added that she was attempting to wash the item of clothing without damaging it.
Another commenter said: “I’m officially old and know nothing about fashion. [I] have NO clue who this brand is.” Danielle replied: “Look it up they have some really crazy designs – the padlock features a lot. Dresses are like £15k+”
