A BODY has been found on the M5 forcing the busy road to be shut down in both directions.
Traffic chaos and huge delays were sparked after the horror discovery, as well as a separate crash.
West Midlands Police responded to reports of a body on the carriageway.
Officers have cordoned off Junction 3 at Quinton to J2 at Oldbury amid investigations.
The force were also called out to a crash between J3 and the M6.
A West Midlands Police spokesperson said: “We are at the scene of two incidents on the M5 and it is currently closed in both directions at Oldbury/Quinton.
“It’s shut J3 at Quinton to J2 at Oldbury after a body was found in the carriageway.
“Following a separate collision it’s shut north between J3 and the M6.”
