A “MASKED gang armed with weapons” chased a group of young students outside a school.
West Midlands Police have launched an urgent probe after the horror unfolded on Shannon Road, in Kings Norton, on Monday.
Officers responded to calls of a “masked group carrying weapons” that “chased students” near Ark Kings Academy, at around 3.40pm.
There were no injuries after the reportedly shocking scenes.
The force are now trawling through CCTV footage amid their investigation.
A police spokesperson told BirminghamLive: “We’re investigating reports of disorder on Shannon Road, Birmingham, at around 3.40pm on Monday (10 March).
“A group of students reported being chased by another group who were wearing masks and reportedly carrying weapons.
“No injuries were reported.
“We are reviewing CCTV and will be speaking to witnesses as our enquiries to identify those involved continue.
“We are committed to tackling serious youth violence and continue to work with local schools and colleges to educate young people around the dangers of carrying weapons.
