Jogger attacked by out-of-control XL Bully dog left so badly injured she might never run again

A JOGGER rammed by an out-of-control XL Bully dog was left so badly injured she might never run again. 

Sophie Lindsay, 41, said the beast charged at her with its head down.

Her right leg was shattered in several places and had to be screwed back together with metal plates, nuts and bolts.

Financial services worker Sophie claims the dog’s owner asked if she was all right but then quickly left the scene. 

She now has flashbacks and is afraid to go to the park again following January’s horror in Clapham Common, South London

And she faces a year of treatment before finding out if she can run again. 

Sophie said: “We were running on the same pathway towards each other. 

It was in my mind that with dogs it is best not to show fear so I kept going. 

“As the dog got closer it increased its pace, put its head down, and crashed into me.

“I screamed out and fell to the floor. The pain was indescribable.” 

She added: “My life as I knew it has been stolen from me.

“I flinch if I hear the sound of barking and I have not been able to go back to Clapham Common – or any park – since that day. 

“If that was a child it hit, there could have been a fatality.” 

Police are appealing for witnesses.
