Six of the few remaining players got it wrong

Unlike other quiz shows, the questions are not based on general knowledge, but are more of an IQ test-style around logic and good old common sense.

Viewers love playing along at home with the 100 contestants, who have 30 seconds to try and answer the questions which go from 90% of the population getting it right, down to 1%.

In a recent repeated episode from series two, the 20% question managed to push out six of the remaining players.

It read: “Which four-letter word is missing from this list?”

The list of words started with ‘spot’ and also included ‘pots’ and ‘tops’.

After a tense wait, Lee revealed the missing word was ‘post’ and that it was “the only other word that can be made from those four letters”.

Did you get it in time?

The episode concluded with just one person making it to the 1% question.

Brett knew he already had £1,000 in the pocket, and could leave with a further £10,000 if he chose not to take on the final question.

When it was time to answer, Brett looked completely stunned by the question’s difficulty.

He sighed through the 30 second time limit he was given as he visibly struggled to think of an answer.

“I didn’t know it. I put last. I just couldn’t see it,” he explained to the actor and comedian.

Unfortunately, his answer was incorrect; Lee was looking for the word “only”.
