The 55p cleaning hack that’ll get your windows sparkling for summer – it’s so easy and will ‘save your back’

NOW that Brits are finally enjoying some sunshine, many will be making the most of their outdoor spaces and soaking up the warm weather.

Although the warmer weather is enjoyable, the glistening sunlight tends not to do many favours when it comes to hiding dirt.

In fact, it highlights grime even more than during the winter months.

This means many people may now be noticing that the outside of their windows has accumulated extra dirt – especially after the rough winter the UK experienced.

One cleaning enthusiast has revealed a clever hack to clean your windows, saving you from forking out for a window cleaner and ensuring you won’t ‘break your back either.’

Kirsty, known as @kirstyhome1 on TikTok, shared a video demonstrating the simple method she uses to clean her windows.

She revealed that all she uses is some “hot soapy water” and a “cheap mop” to get them sparkling.

Kirsty suggests buying a “spin mop” from either eBay or Poundland.

She also recommends using washing-up liquid, which can cost as little as 55p from Morrisons, before adding: “I cannot stress enough how washing up liquid can clean your full home.”

Kirsty went on to explain that she is such a big fan of washing-up liquid that she cleans her entire house with it, calling it “amazing.”

To clean her windows, Kirsty revealed she uses the mop to apply the hot soapy liquid onto the glass.

She adds: “I put my wash-up liquid and hot water in a spray bottle, and I go around my house doing that with the windows and then all the stuff in the house.”

Kirsty also mentioned that because “it’s a really good cleaner,” your windows will be left streak-free.

She adds: “Any like flaws, any glass or anything, your hobs, your extractor fans, it just leaves everything so beautifully shiny.”

Kirsty then goes over the windows with a microfiber cloth followed by a glass cloth “to buff the windows.”

To which Kirsty replied: “Definitely. White vinegar is amazing for so many things as well.”
