EVERYONE deserves a bit of pampering now and then.
But heading to the salon can blow a big hole in your budget.
Here’s how to indulge for less…
MODEL IT: Many beauty salons and colleges look for models that trainees can practice their skills on before becoming fully qualified.
These sessions typically cost a snip of the price of a regular treatment. And in most cases, the trainees are supervised by a qualified professional to make sure you are handled correctly.
Ask at salons near you or enquire at colleges. For example, Champneys Beauty College in Tring, Herts, routinely looks for models for waxing, free of charge, as well as facials and manicures for a bargain £12.

DO IT YOURSELF: Create your own pamper evening by lighting some candles and putting on some soft music. Then knock up your own treatments using ingredients in the cupboard.
Make a homemade foot scrub with a couple of spoonfuls of brown sugar and coconut oil.
Or try a moisturising face mask with mashed-up avocado mixed with a tea spoon of honey and oats. Slather on your skin and leave for ten minutes before washing off.
You can also make your own bath salts, which are great for the skin, by blending equal amounts of Epsom and dead sea salts, plus a couple of drops of essential oil of your choice.
