PEDRO PORRO’S sensational flick earned Tottenham a level playing field for the second leg of their quarter-final clash with Eintracht Frankfurt.
The Spaniard’s superb equaliser clawed back an early deficit to Germany’s third best side this season.
Spurs had fallen 1-0 down to Frankfurt thanks to a delightful curling effort by Arsenal target Hugo Ekitike.
But Porro got on the end of a fizzed James Maddison pass to direct the ball into the back of the net.
Tottenham later peppered the Frankfurt goal mouth in a bid to make the most of their home advantage, but were unable to get the better of 21-year-old keeper Kaua Santos.
Ange Postecoglou will not have the second leg to try and keep Spurs’ season – and his job – alive and kicking.
